I am a researcher in the Canberra Research Laboratory of National ICT Australia (NICTA), working on the Spectral Imaging (SI) project. I am also an adjunct lecturer in the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) at The Australian National University, and an adjoint lecturer at the School of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy .

I got my Ph.D. degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 2006. My supervisor was Dr. Walter F. Bischof. During 2002-2005, Dr. Terry Caelli was my co-supervisor. From 1999 to 2002, I was studying in the Department of Computer Science, Concordia University, Montreal,Canada, supervised by Dr Ching Y. Suen and Dr. Ke Liu. I also worked in the Centre for Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (CENPARMI) as a research assistant and technical staff.
