Scott Sanner Researcher, Statistical Machine Learning Program, NICTA Adjunct, Diagnosis, Planning and Optimization Group, Computer Sciences Lab, Australian National University |
I am interested in a broad range of topics under the umbrella of artificial intelligence (AI) ranging from decision making under uncertainty to knowledge representation and reasoning to machine and reinforcement learning. My research has led me to apply the analytic and algorithmic tools from these fields to the areas of planning under uncertainty, reasoning on the Semantic Web, game-playing (Othello, Backgammon, Go), and robotics.
