Bob Williamson

I am the Scientific Director of NICTA and a Professor in the Computer Sciences Laboratory, in the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University. I am also
  • A director of Epicorp.
  • A member of the ACORN advisory board
  • A member of the National Institute of Informatics Science Advisory Board
  • A member of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics Science Advisory Board.
  • Research: My research interests include Machine Learning and Signal Processing. Here's my publication list in PDF or HTML and here's a summary of my favourite papers

Photos: Have a look at a pictorial history of Bob, Family and Landscapes , colleagues, more colleagues, Family in Germany and Switzerland, German and Swiss Landscapes , High Resolution (20-200Mpx) Landscapes , and (New!) Tranquil Bay

Song: Check out the Song that I co-wrote.

Teaching: Although I do not currently teach undergraduates, I used to. Here's two tidbits: a self-contained proof of the uncertainty principle (rare to find in Signals and Systems texts); and a lecture I have given on telephones. Look here for Past Students and Future PhD study Opportunities.
